KRLM: Stormy...

A Snowy Christmas
by Lupe Gore

"It was early 2013, and inside the shelter was a very scared white cat who was only one year old. He felt so abandoned and was so fearful, that he was pulling the fur out of his tail, yet he was very loving whenever humans paid attention to him. Feral Paws Rescue stepped in and saved him from certain death, as he wouldn’t be deemed adoptable with his self-destruction. Because of his beautiful white coat, we named him Snowy. He was taken to..."

KRLM: Thai...

Thai
by Lupe Gore

"I have been volunteering at Feral Paws Rescue for a few years, and I have an area where cats are housed that I, personally, take care of. One day in mid-June of this year, I noticed a new addition to my area, a beautiful large chocolate-point Siamese. She had just been pulled from the CCSPCA (Fresno) along with a few others. She was talking to me the entire time I was in my area feeding the others and cleaning their kennels; when I got around to her, she wanted to be petted and to get her dish of wet food. Over the summer she became my greeter every time I went to the Rescue to take care of my area. She is about two years old and I named her Thai, as there was no name noted for her on the shelter paperwork, although it was assumed..."

KRLM: Miguel and Pompeo

Miguel and Pompeo
by Lupe Gore

"It’s October and the time of year when we think of Halloween and black cats so as is tradition with my articles, two very special black cats are being honored this month.

Miguel was saved from the CCSPCA (Fresno) by Feral Paws Rescue on July 21, 2016, when he was six-months-old. He had been a very special kitten at the shelter as he had been saved from euthanasia by the Shelter Director and spent a month in the Director’s office where he was given a lot of love by the staff. When Miguel arrived at my house, he immediately made himself at home and..."

KRLM: Traces of Love

Traces of Love

by Lupe Gore

"In early 2017, Feral Paws Rescue received a call from the CCSPCA (Fresno) asking if they would help with a cat who had a very bad injury that had caused tremendous swelling to his face. The shelter had already labeled this cat as “feral” since he didn’t want to have anything to do with the humans there. It was no wonder, since it was later determined he had been badly beaten.

This handsome tabby and white cat was approximately three years old, and was given the name Trace, or Trace-Trace. Feral Paws Rescue didn’t know much else about him, if he had ever had a home or not. All they knew was..."  READ MORE:  CLICK HERE

Catppuccino Cafe Pop Up & Adopt Event...

This is a followup to our attendance at the August 31st Catppuccino Cafe Pop Up & Adopt Event.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the event was a success! There were at least 15 of our kitties at the event, and several were adopted that evening. In fact, there were over 300 people who attended, and because there were so many people, the doors to the event had to be closed early and many people never made it inside to view the kitties.

However, we understand that we will be invited back for another Pop Up & Adopt event soon.

Here are some pictures from the event:

Keep watching our blog for a future Pop Up & Adopt Event announcement.

Meantime, our next monthly adoption event will be at:
Tractor Supply Co. 1630 Herndon Avenue, Clovis CA
on Saturday, September 15th, 11a to 4p

KRLM: Lady Samantha

Lady Samantha
by Lupe Gore

"Two months ago, on June 8, 2018, Feral Paws Rescue received a call from the Tulare (California) Shelter that they had several cats and kittens who needed to be rescued. This shelter is a small one and they were full. One of the cats saved that day is a stunning white cat with beautiful black markings on her back and tail, and a black “half-mustache.” She is approximately two years old. She was brought to the Rescue and put in one of the kennels, where I would take care of her along with almost 30 other cats.

Each time I would go into my area, she would rub up against the kennel and when I opened the door I would pick her up, pet her, and hold her while retrieving her food and water bowls, and litter pan in order to clean it. She was always so happy to have the attention and love and would sit inside her kennel watching me as I took care of the other cats. By the time I would be ready to leave for the day, she would..."  READ MORE:  Click Here

KRLM: A Verry Special Family...

A Very Special Family
by Lupe Gore

"It was late summer in 2017 when Feral Paws Rescue was asked to pull some cats and kittens from the CCSPCA in Fresno. They brought a mother and her two kittens back to the Rescue, along with others whose lives needed to be saved. The kittens were still nursing so they were put in a kennel with their mother. The mother is a beautiful Tortie and her kittens were two little girls, all black. The Rescue has no idea if these were her only babies or where this dear family came from before arriving at the CCSPCA."   Read More: CLICK HERE
